Abstract

This paper throws light on the economic philosophy of Jainacharya 108 Shri Vidyasagar Ji and its applicability in promoting self-reliance in health care, education and employment sectors for India. Based on Jain principles of compassion, nonviolence and selflessness, his philosophy advocates sustainable development, equitable resource distribution and overall well-being. Through a holistic approach encompassing preventive health care, quality education and inclusive employment opportunities, his philosophy provides insights for building a self-reliant India.
