Abstract

This research paper presents a comprehensive overview in preparation, characterization and application of potassium and sodium ferrate as oxidizing agents. Due to specific strong oxidizing potentials for organic and inorganic substances, impurities and also in water treatment their literature is revealed. The first part of the paper  provide synthesis  and characterization by using various techniques ( FTIR,  UV-Visible, SEM, XRD)  and In the second part focus on the application of   oxidant for  the oxidation of  polar and non polar amino acids at different PH scales. Ferrate as oxidant does not   have a negative impact factor for human species and environmental remediation. It was found that ferrate Fe (VI) strong oxidizing agent and it oxidized amino acids in short time.  Reaction was examined at acidic to strong alkaline medium for both oxidants. Further the spectrophotometer data are used to determine the Kinetics of reaction.
