Abstract

Today's intense processes place a great responsibility on the personality of a modern student. As we know, studenthood is the "golden period" of a person's life, and during this period, there is a high probability of encountering a number of stressful factors related to daily and educational activities. Problems and obstacles related to the student's organism and psyche, learning to a new social environment, new demands, new values, or the reconstruction of this system, the emergence of new needs, their satisfaction - all this can be a factor that causes serious stress for the student. But each student perceives a certain situation differently based on his individual, personal, cognitive characteristics, which determines his level of stress resistance. A student's acceptance of problems and obstacles in his life not as a threat to him, but as an opportunity for development and looking at them with openness and turning to the optimal ways to get out of this situation are considered as features that ensure his stability to stress. Also, in order to clearly analyze the extent to which these characteristics affect his stability to stress, it is necessary to conduct special psychological scientific research.


In this article, the role of coping strategy in modern student's reaction to stress, in particular, the results of the empirical study of national psychological characteristics of the relationship between problem solving, seeking social support, and problem avoidance strategies and resilience to stress are presented and analyzed.
